While the prosecution will be saying, they will be looking for the types of jurors that will say, this young woman says she was raped, why would she lie? Who would lie about being raped? If a person says they are raped, that is the only evidence we are going to have. The prosecution is going to say, often times, there is two people in a room, if a man rapes a woman, what can she do except tell her story? Now here she is telling her story. She is a young woman with no reason to lie? Why would she put herself through all of this on a lie? There is no reason to do it? And the prosecution will be basing, I thing their case on sort of emotional issues that will make us feel protective of a young woman who is out there on her own and maybe vulnerable and what recourse does she have expect to tell her story. That is basically going to be the prosecutions strategy to get sympathy for her.
