NOW PLAYING: Public Interest in Celebrity Trials

There is going to be no videotaping allowed in the court except for the closing arguments. Now lawyers for all sides argued for no video cameras in the court room and the judge felt that it would affect the witnesses greatly, and you can image too, especially in a case like this, if a young woman is going to have to testify about sexual activities, even her own personal ones, not just this rape case with Kobe Bryant, it would certainly affect her if there were going to be cameras in the court room and this was going to be broadcast to millions of people, that would probably be hard on her, and I think that is what the judge was thinking about when he denied that kind of access, and there will be still photographs and drawings that we likely always see, so we will be able to get to know what is going on. The public will be informed.
